a walk through the hall of crystal glass
every living memory fading so fast
never any escape, all locked behind doors
behind stained glass windows and crystal walls
red, stained red, a colour so despised
one colour to signify both death and sun-rise
both leaving her breathless everytime
leaving her sobbing crystal tears as she cries
as she is hidden away in the crystal castle
watching the rest of the world go round
whilst she sits in the window sill making no sound
waiting for the one thing to come and save her
time has no meaning as the years are a blur
surrounded by her enclosing crystal walls
screaming her sorrows as her sense of worth falls
is she not worth saving? this girl locked inside
abandoned and alone. she was forced to hide
locked away in her crystal prison
'one day soon my dark prince will come'
'smashing stained glass as was meant to be done'
'he'd grasp my hand and open my eyes'
'over the forests and hilltops we would both fly'
'to a place of serenity, a place of peace'
'away from the harsh crystal castles leash'
'where the glass walls are existant no more'
'where we would hear the crystal smash on the floor'
'my dark prince would open my mind to much more'
its a shame for this girl all locked up inside
making up her stories, to herself she had lied
to keep her poor soul living another day
as her mind often wondered a little astray
still locked behind doors of pure crystal glass
no shred of escape till death do her part
in darkness she shall always reside
as her stained walls can not be defied
always a prisoner in her stained glass, hilltop, bloody red, crystal castle
